Alba Tuninetti, PhD

About me

I am Associate Director of the Institute of Cognitive Science at CU Boulder. Before this, I was an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey). I completed my PhD in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA, USA) in 2015 and also completed a certificate in Neuroscience from the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition (Pittsburgh, PA, USA).

After my PhD, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour, & Development at Western Sydney University (Sydney, Australia) and was a member of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language.

My main interests are second language learning, bilingualism, speech perception, language training, and speech adaptation in adults. I use behavioural and neural (EEG) methods to examine these topics.
